Assistant Controller

Step into a leadership role where numbers meet impact with East West Hospitality! As Assistant Controller, you’ll take the financial helm of multiple condo rental programs and homeowner associations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and confidence in every report. Beyond balancing the books, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team—providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight to keep financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance running seamlessly across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance for assigned accounts, funds, and departments.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data, while ensuring proper accounting controls and audit documentation.

• Manage payroll tax processes, accounts payable, journal entries, and provide technical accounting support to departments.

• Assist with audits, special projects, policy development, and team training to support continuous improvement.

• Present financial results to Homeowner Boards and uphold East West Hospitality’s vision, mission, and values in all financial operations.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $85k - $95k  

Schedule: 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including supervisory or senior accounting responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Experience leading and developing a team, providing guidance and support.

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders and Boards.

• Knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance.
