Assistant Front Desk Manager

Position Summary:
Assistant Guest Service Manager supports a department head by ensuring excellent guest experience and efficient front-end operations, involving staff training, guest issue resolution, managing front-end procedures, and collaborating with other departments to meet business goals and uphold service standards. This role often requires a flexible schedule and strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide guest service teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, friendly service to ensure every guest has a memorable stay from arrival to departure.
- Lead, train, and motivate front-line staff while evaluating performance and supporting their development.
- Oversee daily front desk and guest service operations, resolving guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly.
- Act as the go-to resource for guests, assisting with activity bookings, restaurant reservations, transportation, and coordinating with other departments for seamless experiences.
- Support the Guest Services Manager with staff scheduling, performance reviews, inventory, and managing on-site billing and transactions.

Employment Type: Full Time, Seasonal
Pay Rate: $68k - $72k

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience for an Assistant Guest Services Manager position typically includes two to five years of customer service experience in the hospitality industry, often with at least one year spent in a supervisory role. Extensive hands-on experience and strong leadership skills are crucial for this role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and manage guest issues effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in a guest service or leadership role is often a prerequisite.
