Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Position Summary:

As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in supporting the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for luxury hospitality and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams. You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Assist in managing and mentoring a dynamic housekeeping team, promoting a culture of collaboration, respect, and service excellence.
  • Lead daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure optimal staffing and workflow.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training initiatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to support professional growth.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Viceroy’s luxury standards.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage supply requisitions efficiently.

Guest Experience & Service Recovery

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, ensuring swift resolution and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Concierge teams to deliver seamless, personalized service.
  • Uphold Viceroy’s commitment to guest satisfaction through proactive service and attention to detail.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation protocols in accordance with resort and regulatory standards.
  • Train staff in chemical handling, equipment use, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the security of guest belongings and resort property through vigilant oversight.

Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to their ongoing refinement.
  • Analyze inspection trends and guest feedback to drive quality improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering to address maintenance issues and support preventative care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hospitality standards.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

 

Location: Base Village, Snowmass Village CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate:  $28 to $30 Hourly 

Schedule: Require Flexibility

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and in various environmental conditions.
