  • Schedule:
    • Year 1, Summer: full time, 32 – 40 hours/week
    • Year 1, School year: minimum of 16-20 hours/week
    • Year 2 - full time, 32 – 40 hours/week

What You Will Do:

The Food and Beverage Department contributes a great deal to the overall experience a guest has at our resort.  One of the biggest aspects of a vacation is the wonderful food and drink guests enjoy while visiting.  The quality of food and beverage along with the service that comes with it, have a huge impact on the overall success of the resort.  This department contributes a great deal to the overall profits.  Food and beverage professionals tirelessly work to intensify the guests’ experience through their service. 

During your apprenticeship, you will rotate throughout the following positions to gain knowledge of the back of house and culinary operations within the Food and Beverage Department.

 

  • Kitchen Steward
    • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization with a positive, team-focused attitude
    • Responsible for all ware-washing of china, glass and silver, and kitchen small wares
    • Correct relocation of all cleaned items back to their proper location
    • Disposal of trash and recycling from kitchen to loading dock
    • Ensure kitchen areas and loading dock cleanliness
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Entry Level Line Cook
    • Setting up and stocking line stations with necessary supplies
    • Keeping line stations clean and organized
    • Prepare food for service, including prep, butchery, and sauces
    • Cook assigned menu items during service under Sous Chef and Lead Line Cook direction
    • Maintaining high quality standards of food and its preparation, service and presentation
    • Complying with mandatory food safety standards and regulations
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Cook
    • Maintain high standards for food quality, preparation, and presentation
    • Promote the enthusiasm of the culinary experience
    • Will cook, prep, and clean with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
    • Always practicing good food hygiene and safety
    • Supports and help the Sous Chef and Cook 1 to accomplish day to day goals
    • Other duties as assigned
