Join the team at Poste Montane Lodge in Beaver Creek as Chief Engineer and take the lead in keeping a distinctive mountain property running at its best. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in well-run buildings, and thrives in a hospitality setting where every detail impacts the guest and owner experience.

You’ll be responsible for the daily performance and long-term care of key building systems, while also helping guide preventative maintenance and property improvement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who works independently, thinks ahead, and brings a practical, service-oriented approach to facility operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain core building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Respond to maintenance issues, diagnose root causes, and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and support renovation or capital projects as needed
  • Partner with property leadership to identify and implement operational improvements
  • Coordinate with onsite teams to ensure smooth day-to-day property function and guest satisfaction

Location: Poste Montane Lodge in Beaver Creek, CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Schedule: 5 eight-hour shifts, start times can be flexible, Saturday shift is mandatory

Pay Rate: $78,000 - $82,000 per year, DOE. Hiring bonus paid half after 30 days from hire and the second half after 90 days.

Our Ideal candidate brings the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field; or a certificate from a college or technical school in a facilities maintenance or engineering field
  • 3–6 years of related experience and/or training
  • Strong knowledge of building systems with hands-on experience applying engineering principles
  • Ability to evaluate systems, identify current or potential issues, and make informed recommendations
  • Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills, using available resources and independent research to solve problems
