Engineer II - Frontgate

At Frontgate | Avon, we’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Engineer II to help keep our property operating at its best. In this role, you’ll be responsible for repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting a wide range of systems, machines, tools, and equipment across the building and grounds. You’ll play a key part in delivering a seamless guest experience while keeping the facilities in excellent condition. The right fit brings strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-driven approach to maintenance. Key Responsibilities include:
- Inspect and evaluate building systems, machines, tools, and equipment—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems—to ensure proper operation and identify current or potential issues
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, general repairs, and installations, including support for special projects
- Troubleshoot system failures using available resources and independent research to identify root causes and implement effective repair or replacement solutions
- Provide informed recommendations for upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the overall guest experience

Location: Frontgate|Avon, Avon, CO
Start Date: As soon as possible
Employment Type: Full Time Year Round
Pay Rate: $26-$27/hour, DOE. First half of hiring bonus paid after 30 days and second half after 90 days
Schedule: 5 days per week. Shifts are either 8:00am-4:30pm or 1:30pm-9:30pm, flexibility required to work both shifts based on business needs

Our ideal candidate for this year-round position is legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis, without a specific end date. They are at least 21 years old and a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) with hands-on experience working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or building automation systems. They bring relevant trade licenses or certifications, along with formal training in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field, supported by some practical, on-the-job experience. This individual is analytical and solutions-oriented, able to evaluate building systems, identify current or potential issues, and make informed recommendations. Self-motivated and proactive, they take initiative in diagnosing problems and applying sound engineering principles to keep facilities running efficiently and reliably.
