East West Hospitality is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our corporate team in Avon, CO! 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support the CFO in driving financial insights, enhancing profitability, and enabling data-driven decision-making. This role will play a key part in financial modeling, KPI tracking, company performance reporting, and evaluating strategic initiatives that align with our long-term growth objectives.  Qualified candidates should have an understanding of financial statements with a particular focus on drivers of profitability. Reporting is often ad hoc, time sensitive and used directly for communication to senior leadership.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: 90k/110k DOE

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Develop and maintain proformas to assist with new business initiatives supported by financial analysis supported by market research
  • Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and stress testing to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial input for new initiatives, capital projects, cash flow modelling and investment proposals.

Profitability Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and margins to identify profitability drivers and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with business units to assess operational performance and recommend cost optimization strategies.
  • Create and track KPI dashboards that align with company goals and hospitality industry benchmarks.
  • Assist in cross functional special projects as needed

Strategic Support for the CFO

  • Contribute insights for Board presentations, investor updates, and senior leadership reviews.
  • Perform competitive and market analyses to benchmark performance and guide strategic positioning.
  • Review all hotel monthly results and all HOA board meeting packets in advance of distribution to Boards or external attendees
  • Full understanding of HOA governing documents, Rental Management Agreements (RMA’s), hotel operating and management agreements, leases and any third-party agreements
  • Partner to analyze financial RFP’s (credit card commissions, banking, financial reporting tools, accounting platforms, etc.)

Company Performance Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports with clear variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Develop management reporting packs highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and clarity for all reporting deliverables.
  • Develop reporting tools and packages (PowerBI, Tableau) in conjunction with business partners in operations and IT
  • Manage and steer dashboard reporting

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Must have an understanding of financial statements with a particular focus on drivers of profitability.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.  Ability to quickly adapt to proprietary software platforms
  • Experience with data warehouse management and lodging property management systems a plus but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 2–4 years of FP&A, investment banking, or consulting experience (hospitality or service industry finance experience strongly preferred).
