Food and Beverage Manager - Charter Steakhouse

Charter Steakhouse is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead from the floor and shape the guest experience in real time. Partnering closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll oversee restaurant, bar, and banquet operations with a focus on elevated service, strong culture, and consistent execution. Duties Include:

Shift Leadership & Guest Experience

  • Lead restaurant and banquet shifts as Manager on Duty, maintaining strong floor presence during peak service
  • Ensure exceptional guest experience through reservations, table flow, and prompt resolution of issues
  • Partner with culinary team to ensure seamless, high-quality service execution

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing team development
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and daily communication to drive alignment and performance
  • Coach and hold team members accountable to service and performance standards

Administrative & Financial Support

  • Assist with payroll, labor management, and daily sales tracking (comps, voids, discounts)
  • Support inventory, purchasing, vendor management, and beverage program execution
  • Ensure POS accuracy, cash handling, and support for events and programming

Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Uphold cleanliness, presentation, and company service standards
  • Support marketing initiatives and ensure accurate operational recordkeeping

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Start Date: 5/28/2026

Pay Range: $59,000 - $65,000 DOE with bonus potential for events 

Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends, holidays and traditional workdays.

The ideal candidate is legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis, without a specific end date, and is at least 21 years of age. They have 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in Food & Beverage, with proven success leading both restaurant and banquet operations in high-volume environments. They combine strong operational knowledge of full-service FOH/BOH coordination, service standards, and event execution with a hands-on, guest-first leadership style.

They are confident managing labor, scheduling, and key financial metrics including sales, comps, voids, discounts, and inventory control. Comfortable with POS systems (Toast preferred), reservation platforms, and basic reporting tools, they bring both technical fluency and strong organizational skills.

This individual is a clear and effective communicator with experience in hiring, training, and developing teams, as well as handling performance management and documentation. They hold or can obtain ServSafe and TIPS certifications and understand health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Strong beverage knowledge and the ability to support bar operations is a plus.

Above all, they are accountable, adaptable, and steady under pressure, with a leadership presence that balances high standards with an approachable, team-focused style.
