Join our outstanding team at Founders Place, where you'll manage daily operations at our on-site café, The Polly, and oversee other food and beverage services across the property. Your focus will be on providing top-tier dining experiences, driven by owner feedback, resident satisfaction, and long-term success. You’ll be responsible for upholding high service standards and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations in a luxury, community-centered environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff Hiring & Training: Interviews, hires, and oversees the training of kitchen staff, fostering a highly professional and skilled culinary team.
- Skill Development: Regularly trains and develops both supervisory and kitchen staff to consistently meet and exceed food preparation standards.
- Culinary Education: Teaches preparation techniques according to established recipes, continually working with the kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
- Menu Innovation: Develops creative menus and continuously introduces new recipes and dishes to elevate the overall dining experience.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adheres to and enforces food safety regulations in line with Colorado Health Department standards, ensuring proper grooming and hygiene for all kitchen staff.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Monitors daily food supplies and inventory, ensuring all ingredients are available to meet recipe and service needs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensures kitchen equipment operates at peak efficiency, submitting reports for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Staff Scheduling: Writes and manages weekly staff schedules, making adjustments for business demands and regularly reviewing to meet financial and operational goals.
- Quality Control: Regularly reviews finished food products to maintain high culinary standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Trend Adaptation: Stays updated on current food trends, adjusting menus to reflect popular demand in the culinary world.
- Delegation & Accountability: Delegates tasks to staff, promoting accountability and ensuring all duties align with clear objectives.
- Leadership: Fosters a positive work environment, providing guidance and setting performance standards for kitchen staff.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Start Date: 12/01/2024
Pay Range: $65,000 - $70 000 / year
Closing Date: 01/30/2025
Core Working Hours & Flexibility:
- Present during key service times (morning/evening shifts).
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Adjust hours based on occupancy, peak seasons, and operational needs.
- On-call availability for emergencies and decision-making.
- Seasonal flexibility: longer hours in winter, reduced hours in summer.
- 3+ years of experience in a fine-dining or commercial kitchen, with at least 3 years in a management position.
- ServSafe certification required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
- Culinary degree (2 or 4-year program) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and Toast POS required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
