The General Cashier and all duties associated with thhis functon. Strive to continually improcve guest, owner and colleague satisfaction and mazimize the financial performance of the department and Resort. and Resort.

Duites Include:

1. Open drop safe and remove contents pertaining to the daily work being processed with a witness.
2. Audit and verify all deposits for amount and proper procedural processing.  Prepare a daily discrepancy report including cash discrepancies as well as procedure violations.
3. Reimburse the safe for petty cash vouchers via the deposit.
4. Consolidate all deposits and prepare deposit for transfer to bank.
5. Maintain a sufficient supply of cash on hand.  Provide change to cashiers during normal operating hours.
6. Check all petty cash vouchers/advances for proper approval before giving out cash.
7. Verify the safe count weekly and with the Assistant Director of Finance once a month.
8. Issue weekend banks to appropriate department managers and verify amount upon their return.
9. Audit all manager and cashier banks every month.
10. Follows policies to ensure the preservation of hotel assets by using internal accounting controls and ensuring that all transactions are recorded properly in Resort’s books and records.
11. Input daily Income Audit information including research discrepancies.
12. Ensures compliance with local record retention laws.
13. Keeps focused on guest satisfaction and desired financial results.
14. Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor as assigned, including statement review.
15. Ensures compliance with all Finance policies, standards and procedures.
16. Follows goals and objectives for all areas of responsibility and communicates to others as needed.
17. Strives for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
18. Understands the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment.
19. Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues.
20. Make recommendations for cost savings initiatives.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $26 hour to $29 hour

Schedule: 8:30am to 5:00pm flexibility available

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma; colleague degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years in similar position at a ski Resort required.
• Bilingual helpful but not required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to track and allocate time correctly.
