Maya Restaurant is seeking a customer oriented and enthusiastic Lead Server to join their dynamic team. The Lead Server is responsible for exceeding guest expectations and providing a memorable experience for our guests. The Lead Server demonstrates a strong knowledge of all menu items and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Also responsible for guiding employees through their daily routine, leading by example and supporting all staff. 

Essential duties include:

  • The Lead Server communicates and works closely with kitchen and restaurant team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manages guest checks and proper payment, and maintains proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
  • Must possess a passion for food, beverage and guest hospitality.
  • Leads team discussion on food and beverage offerings, including specials.
  • Coordinates and maintains accurate training materials for new associates.

Location: The Server will work primarily at Maya Restaurant, a Modern Mexican Kitchen & Tequileria located in The Westin.

Approximate Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round.

Schedule: Evenings, days vary, it includes weekends and holidays.

Minimum Requirements

Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.  Previous restaurant experience is preferred with at least 1 year of working in a similar position.  Must be able to work well under pressure and be self-motivated.  Candidate must have good organizational, time management and delegation skills.  Good communication skills-both written and verbal, required in English.  Position requires standing and carrying for long periods.  This position may require lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing of approximately 21-50 pounds.
