Maintenance Tech II - STAG Lodge

Join the East West Hospitality team at Stag Lodge as a Maintenance Technician II and take the next step in your maintenance career. This is an advanced-level position where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of protocols and standards will play a key role in supporting our property’s operations. You’ll work closely with multiple departments to ensure timely task completion and will take on a more guest-facing role, delivering exceptional service through professional and efficient maintenance work.

Nestled slope-side in the heart of Deer Valley, Utah, Stag Lodge offers ski-in/ski-out convenience, luxury accommodations, and warm mountain hospitality.

This role is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional ready to take on more responsibility, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and represent East West Hospitality’s commitment to excellence in both service and operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, pools, and operational spaces.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution to maintain smooth operations.
• Follow all PPE and hazardous material guidelines and complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
• Train and mentor other team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through clear daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Maintain required records, logs, preventative maintenance schedules, inspections, and inventory using computerized maintenance systems (e.g., MaintainX).
• Manage inventory of parts, materials, tools, and supplies to ensure readiness for maintenance tasks.
• Operate computers and mobile devices to enter and locate work-related information and use Microsoft programs as needed.
• Obtain and maintain any required local certifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and brand standards at all times

Employment Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22 - $26/ hour DOE 

Schedule: Varies, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Proven maintenance experience, ideally within the hospitality industry.
• Technical skills and knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool systems, and general repair.
• CPO Certification required; experience with chemical feeders, pool pumps, and heaters preferred.
• Proficient in MaintainX, with the ability to create and execute tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Valid, current, and non-probationary driver’s license (if required to operate a vehicle).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certifications in relevant fields preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and sit for extended periods (minimum of 2 hours at a time).
• Walk and climb stairs approximately 50% of the time; climb ladders as needed.
• Kneel, reach, crawl, twist, and perform manual tasks as required.
• Lift, carry, or pull items up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly use commercial chemicals in accordance with safety standards.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
