As the AM Sous Chef, you'll lead the morning culinary operation, ensuring every dish leaving the kitchen meets our quality, consistency, and presentation standards. You'll oversee and support the AM kitchen team, providing direction, coaching, and accountability while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, supervise, and develop the AM culinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and served according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
- Maintain consistency and efficiency in kitchen operations while delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.
- Coach, train, and hold team members accountable to performance expectations, culinary standards, and workplace policies.
- Support daily kitchen operations through inventory control, product rotation, waste management, and collaboration with culinary leadership.

Pay Rate: $65,000 - $70,000/year
Schedule: 1M-F, 5:30am - 1:30pm

Ideal Internal Candidate
- Has at least three years of leadership experience in a high-volume culinary environment.
- Demonstrates strong culinary knowledge, including food preparation, cooking techniques, presentation standards, and food safety practices; ServSafe certification preferred or required.
- Effectively manages multiple priorities, projects, and operational demands in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Leads by example and has a proven ability to train, develop, coach, and hold team members accountable to performance and quality standards.
- Possesses strong organizational, communication, and time management skills, along with the ability to meet the physical demands of a professional kitchen, including standing and walking for extended periods.
