Vice President of Operations - Tahoe
The Vice President of Operations (VPO) for the Tahoe region, which currently includes the Truckee, Northstar and Palisades regions, is responsible for all operations including HOA Management, Property Management and Vacation Rental Operations in these markets. In addition to operational leadership, the VPO serves as the senior regional leader for the Tahoe market. The role is responsible for helping shape the growth and long-term success of the region by strengthening East West Hospitality’s presence, identifying strategic opportunities, and partnering with executive leadership to expand the business.
The VPO will also play a critical leadership role in strengthening East West Hospitality’s reputation and visibility in the Tahoe community, ensuring the region operates in alignment with company values, and developing a high-performing, collaborative team culture. The position requires thoughtful evaluation of organizational structure, operational practices, and leadership development to ensure the region is positioned for long-term success and growth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Model and uphold East West Hospitality’s Vision, Mission, and Values while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and professionalism.
- Communicate transparently and collaboratively to engage teams and align regional priorities.
- Lead the development of a strong, values-driven culture that supports engagement, service excellence, and team accountability.
- Evaluate organizational structure and leadership effectiveness to ensure the region is positioned for operational excellence and long-term growth.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate operational leaders to build a strong and capable leadership bench.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear operational plans while establishing accountability and empowering leaders to deliver results.
Operations Management
- Identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen East West Hospitality’s presence in the Tahoe market, including partnerships, property acquisitions, and other growth initiatives, in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Property Managers, Directors and others on the operations team, equipping them with the resources and support necessary for success.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for East West Hospitality in the Tahoe community, strengthening the company’s reputation with owners, associations, partners, and local stakeholders.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with HOA and SOA Boards through regular and meaningful engagement, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and identifying opportunities to enhance value to associations.
- Represent the organization at Board meetings to strengthen visibility and promote strategic alignment.
- Evaluate operational processes and regional organizational structure to ensure the Tahoe division is operating efficiently, aligned with company best practices, and delivering high-quality service and exceptional experiences for guests and owners.
- Oversee the planning and execution of capital improvements and repair & maintenance projects and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, life safety protocols, and risk management standards.
- Support business development efforts, including evaluation and onboarding of new properties.
- Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to achieve unit acquisition and rental performance goals.
- Lead the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of property budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain a consistent presence across all managed properties through regular site visits.
- Negotiate, execute, and manage Association agreements and leases, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations.
Support of Key Stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, Sales, Accounting, and other shared services teams to align operational and business objectives.
- Foster proactive, transparent communication with internal teams, owners, guests, and other key stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement across all Tahoe operations.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Compensation: $170-190k annually + 15% bonus potential

- Minimum of five years of senior or regional-level experience in association or property management.
- Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of association and property management practices.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to proprietary software platforms.
