Accounting Manager
Job Description
The Viceroy Snowmass, managed by East West Hospitality is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. If you are an upbeat people-person who enjoys working in a busy environment we would love to meet you!
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the daily and monthly accounting operations and reporting for all resort departments, including Rooms, Spa, Retail, Activities, Food & Beverage (F&B), and Homeowners Association (HOA) financials. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with GAAP, strong internal controls, and supports strategic departmental collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage daily and monthly accounting operations and reporting for all resort departments.
- Lead all Food & Beverage financial accounting, including inventory control, cost tracking, revenue analysis, and expense and labor analysis.
- Oversee all HOA-related accounting, including dues collection, reserve tracking, budget preparation, and monthly financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and perform regular reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and reports for management.
- Partner with department heads on forecasts, budgets, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Coordinate year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Supervise, mentor, and support accounting team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Cover other duties as need during accounting staff time off and vacations
- Cross train on other accounting functions
- Other duties as assigned.
- Support special projects and assist with systems improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial reporting
Location: Snowmass Village, CO
Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $80,000-$90,000
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5:00, additional hours may be needed

- Strong knowledge of operational accounting, F&B financials, and HOA structures
- Effective leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
- Hotel and HOA accounting experience a plus
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, Solver, Ottimate, Opera Hotel PMS, and Oracle Reporting
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools
