Join the East West Hospitality finance team! We are looking for an experienced Assistant Association Controller  with excellent communication skills. If you are detail oriented and highly motivated, we would love to meet you! 

The Assistant Association Controller will assist the Vail Regional Controller leading the Vail Association Accounting division supporting our Vail managed property portfolio. This position will be responsible for the preparation and reporting functions for EWR managed Associations including rental management, financial reporting, and accounting. This role will also manage a team of association financial accountants while serving as a change leader to assist with system implementations to improve operational efficiencies and guest services. 


Duties Include:

  • Independently prepare and review complex financial statements.  Distribute to appropriate personnel with pertinent supporting information.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests regarding financial information.
  • Compile budget formats, capital replacement reserves and information and assist Managers completing their budget requests.
  • Compile and analyze requests and import into the financial software.
  • Independently present financial results to Homeowner Boards; respond to inquiries about financial management and related issues.
  • Cultivate an environment of respect and trust with Homeowner Boards.
  • Independently analyze complex information, solve complex problems and establish procedures for recording or reconciling information and optimizing workflows.
  • Enter and review accounts payable prepared by junior accountants, including review of invoice to ensure proper coding and payee. 
  • Develop standard internal controls for Association financial reporting, communicate and ensure compliance with these standards.

Location: Avon and Vail              

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000 / year 

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • College degree with an accounting degree or suitable industry experience as a property Accountant and experience with computerized accounting operations. 
  • Job requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to supervise others, solid accounting and organizational skills. 
  • Service oriented; willing to support and deliver as necessary to ensure the success of the entire organization. May occasionally be required to travel and attend weekend meetings. 
  • Excellent computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and various accounting systems. Current accounting systems utilized include Microsoft Dynamics SL, IQware, RDP, RCC.
