Subordinate staff: Front Desk Coordinators, Breakfast Attendant, Move Monitors, Housekeeping

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager is an active participant on the Glass House management team.  The AM will assist the Manager in the daily operation of the building and take on their responsibilities in their absence.  The AM’s primary focus will be on front desk operations, staffing, and breakfast. The AM must be hospitable towards both external and internal customers, professional, assertive and quick thinking as the scope of building, staffing, and resident issues vary from day-to-day.  Must be comfortable working in a continuously changing work environment.


Job Duties:

  1. All Front Desk processes
  2. Staffing, training, coaching, & scheduling of 24hr. front desk
  3. The ability to fill in at front desk on 2nd & 3rd shift when necessary
  4. Payroll processing
  5. Supervision of the weekend continental breakfast presentation, staff, & ordering
  6. Appropriate resolution of referred owner concerns
  7. Daily oversight of common areas, including: lobby, hallways, club room, pool, & garage
  8. Ensuring owners and guests comply with condo declaration, & rules & regulations
  9. Special projects

Job Specifications:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  2. Active listening skills
  3. Ability to gain & retain trust of internal and external customers.
  4. Hands on, no job is beneath me approach to management 
  5. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications & office equipment
  6. Ability to lift heavy objects when required
  7. Ability to work 24/7 based on scheduling needs

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Sustained background in Hospitality i.e. high end hotel/resort/property management like experience a must
  2. Supervisory or management experience strongly recommended
  3. College graduate and/or professional certificate preferred
  4. Must have a sincere desire to help people - owners, guest, staff, and alike
  5. Maintenance / housekeeping oriented
