East West Hospitality is seeking a reliable and skilled Assistant Manager and Caretaker for Mountain Star, a premier community in the Vail Valley. This role requires proficiency in planning, communicating, operating and maintaining equipment, driving snowplows and snowmobiles, and a willingness to work irregular hours, especially during snow events. Duties Include:

Key responsibilities for this role include providing vital support to the Property Manager in all aspects of daily property care and management. You’ll be the point of contact for owner relations, responding to and following up on requests to ensure satisfaction. Snow removal is a key task, requiring you to safely operate snowplows to clear driveways and roads, with a valid driver’s license (CDL helpful, but not required). You'll also handle various maintenance equipment, such as wheel loaders, snowmobiles, and chainsaws, for property upkeep. General property and community maintenance, along with seasonal upkeep, will be part of your duties, as well as maintaining order and inventory in the maintenance facility. Additionally, you’ll provide complete coverage for the Property Manager during days off.

Location: Mountain Star in Beaver Creek, CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round.

Compensation: $28-$32/hour based on experience plus performance bonus potential.  $1000 signing bonus - 1/2 after 90 days, 1/2 after 6 months.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible day schedule. During snow events - early mornings, some weekend days and holidays required

We’re seeking a candidate who is mechanically inclined and skilled in operating equipment such as plows, front-end loaders with implements, chainsaws, and snowmobiles. The ideal candidate is able to take direction while also showing initiative, always keeping an eye on improving the community. A positive, cooperative, and problem-solving mindset is essential, along with excellent customer service and communication skills, ensuring all interactions are professional and courteous. Proficiency in scheduling, tracking, and managing multiple tasks is a must, as is the ability to work independently, especially when covering for the Property Manager.
