The Charter is looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of banquet events from start to finish. As Banquet Captain, you’ll oversee setup, service, and breakdown-ensuring every detail runs smoothly and every guest leaves impressed. You’ll be the go-to on the floor, coordinating with servers, bartenders, culinary teams, and management to create flawless, high-quality events in a professional and polished setting. Beyond event execution, you’ll handle key admin tasks like post-event reports, tracking hours, and organizing supplies. Duties Include:

  • Oversee Event Execution: Supervise all aspects of banquet functions, ensuring events run according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and service standards.

  • Lead and Support Staff: Assign tasks, conduct pre-shift briefings, and provide on-the-floor leadership to servers, bartenders, and support staff.

  • Coordinate with Departments: Maintain clear communication with kitchen, bar, and event management to ensure seamless food and beverage service.

  • Maintain Standards and Cleanliness: Uphold service quality, monitor guest satisfaction, and ensure event spaces remain clean, organized, and well-equipped.

  • Handle Post-Event Responsibilities: Lead event breakdowns, reset spaces for upcoming functions, and complete post-event reports, billing notes, and feedback logs.

  • Support Admin and Inventory Tasks: Track staff hours, assist with scheduling, and help manage banquet inventory and supply organization.

We’re looking for a confident and experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. With 2+ years in banquet service or hospitality supervision, they bring a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team with professionalism and poise. This person leads by example, stays composed under pressure, and ensures every element of an event aligns with the Banquet Event Order (BEO). They work seamlessly with colleagues across departments, adapt easily to changing needs, and consistently prioritize guest satisfaction. Familiarity with various service styles-buffet, plated, family-style-is a plus, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is a must. TIPS certification or equivalent alcohol service knowledge preferred.
