Job Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the EWH Executive Committee, responsible for driving operational excellence, business growth, and an exceptional service culture across East West Hospitality’s diverse portfolio of managed properties. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO oversees all facets of hospitality operations, association management, rental operations and residential services. The COO ensures alignment with EWH’s why, vision, values, and strategic goals, while fostering high-performing teams and long-term partnerships with owners, boards, employees, and guests.
The COO has responsibility for and oversight of EWH’s property management, association management, and rental operations for our mountain-based operations (Colorado, California and Utah) as well as South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Committee to refine and execute the 24-month strategic plan.
- Translate company vision and goals into actionable operational initiatives across all departments.
- Champion the company's culture, values, and brand promise in every interaction and decision.
Operational Oversight
- Lead day-to-day operations across all regions, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee General Managers and Regional Leaders, providing guidance, mentorship, and accountability.
- Establish operational KPIs and reporting systems to track financial performance, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Growth & Innovation
- In conjunction with the Chief Development Officer, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities, including management contracts, acquisitions, and development partnerships.
- Identify operational innovations and technologies that improve service delivery and profitability.
- Lead integration efforts for new properties, associations, and business lines.
Owner & Board Relations
- Maintain trusted, strategic relationships with HOA boards, owners, developers, and key stakeholders.
- Attend board meetings, present operational and financial updates, and manage escalated concerns.
- Ensure operational practices align with legal and contractual requirements.
Team Leadership
- Cultivate a culture of performance, accountability, and recognition among operational leaders.
- Partner with HR on talent strategy, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Drive workforce planning and resource allocation to support seasonal and long-term demands.
Location: Avon, CO Corporate Office - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Pay Rate: $225 - $275k annually

Required:
- 10+ years of senior or executive-level hospitality, association management and/or property management leadership experience
- Proven success managing multi-site, service-driven operations in resort or high-end residential markets
- Deep knowledge of association management, property management, rental operations, and luxury service expectations
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working in privately held, purpose-driven companies
- Familiarity with mountain resort and urban market
