Director of Front Office
Job Description
Take the helm as the Director of Front Office at the Solaris Residences, where you'll lead and inspire the front office team across multiple departments, including Front Desk, Night Audit, Concierge, Bell/Valet, and Ski Valet Operations. This dynamic leadership role encompasses the administrative, financial, and operational oversight of the entire resort, ensuring seamless service and operational excellence. As the key figure responsible for the daily success of the Front Office Department, you'll guide a team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences while optimizing efficiency and profitability.
Duties Include:
Staffing and Team Development: Ensure optimal staffing levels across the division to consistently meet and exceed guest service goals. Lead efforts to attract, retain, and inspire top talent through effective hiring, training, and ongoing development. Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and resolve challenges while fostering an open and communicative work environment. Handle disciplinary actions and terminations as needed, while reviewing and processing payroll for your team.
Operational Excellence and Collaboration: Oversee the implementation of company policies and conduct performance evaluations for department heads. Ensure all team members are thoroughly trained to maximize service, efficiency, and productivity. Take ownership of staffing control, cost management, and operational security, all while driving profitability. Delegate responsibilities clearly across sub-departments, coordinate meetings, and collaborate with other department heads to ensure smooth communication, guest satisfaction, and optimal business outcomes.
Team Management and Payroll Oversight: Maintain the appropriate staffing levels across all divisions to consistently achieve guest service objectives. Lead by example in attracting, retaining, and motivating associates, while managing their development through training, coaching, and performance reviews. Effectively address any issues, ensuring open lines of communication, and handle disciplinary measures and terminations when necessary. Complete payroll for your direct reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round
Pay Rate: $90,000 per year and eligible for up to a 10% annual bonus
Schedule: The role offers some scheduling flexibility, while also demanding some flexibility. The role must adapt schedule to cover operations during peak times, and can also allow for varying start times, as well as flexible vacation time.

You possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, ensuring clear and professional interactions with both guests and team members. With at least 3 years of experience in a high-end hospitality setting, you will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding service and managing the needs of discerning clientele. A two-year college degree or higher, preferably in hospitality, business, or a related field, will provide the foundation for your ability to thrive in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.
