Human Resources Manager

This role supports employees, managers, and HR partners across the East West Family of Companies, operating within a shared services model that balances company-wide HR initiatives with direct HR support for assigned business units.
As a trusted partner, this role works across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee experience, while also owning key shared HR processes and resources that drive consistency and efficiency across the organization.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role that requires strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to navigate both day-to-day HR operations and broader organizational needs in partnership with HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities
HR Support to Assigned Operations
- Serve as a primary HR partner to assigned business units, supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle
- Advise on employee relations matters including performance management, documentation, investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Support recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and manager partnership
- Oversee Leave of Absence administration across the Family of Companies, guiding execution through the HR/Leave Specialist
- Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general employment matters
- Support onboarding and integration for assigned business units, including acquisitions as needed
HR Operations & Process Oversight
- Oversee execution of core HR administrative processes, including onboarding, E-Verify, background checks, employee status changes, employee programs, records management, employment verifications, and routine HR requests
- Oversee administration of workers’ compensation and unemployment processes, including claims, documentation, audits, and manager support
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of HR operations through oversight, prioritization, and quality control
- Guide and support the HR/Leave Specialist, providing training, direction, day-to-day oversight, and back up.
HR Compliance & Team Support
- Own and enhance centralized HR resources and tools (SOPs, forms, process documentation, system guidance), including development of tools that improve access and efficiency across the HR function
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for HR systems and shared processes, supporting training, documentation, and team questions
- Monitor and audit HR processes and records to support compliance with company standards and applicable laws (e.g., I-9, E-Verify, background checks, employee files)
- Partner with HR leadership to identify and implement process improvements and standardization opportunities across divisions
- Support onboarding of HR team members and provide shared-services support for acquisitions, transitions, and cross-company initiatives
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Support development and continuous improvement of employee experience programs, including onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding
- Own and enhance recognition and engagement programs for assigned business units and selected company-wide initiatives
- Manage select programs such as the Sabbatical Program, including eligibility communication, tracking, reporting, and coordination with HR and payroll
- Support engagement surveys, including communication, user support, and follow-up activities
- Maintain visibility into engagement efforts across divisions and contribute to shared tools and best practices
- Participate in broader company initiatives and culture-building efforts

Schedule: 9-5, M-F, ocassional nights/weekends
Pay Rate: $75k - 90k / DOE

Education
- 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience and/or training across core HR functions
- HR experience in hospitality, real estate, or development industries preferred
- Guest service and administrative experience preferred
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary conversations, and investigations
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; English fluency required, Spanish proficiency preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships
- High level of self-awareness and situational awareness
- Strong time management and attention to detail
