Maintenance Technician Part-Time

Responsibilities include:

In this role, you will inspect and evaluate systems, machines, tools, and equipment-such as heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems-to ensure proper functioning and identify potential problems. You will make informed recommendations for updates to enhance effectiveness, economy, and guest experience, perform routine preventive maintenance, and handle installations for special projects. Additionally, you will promptly identify and respond to necessary repairs, troubleshoot issues using available materials and independent research to determine the best solutions, and utilize preventative maintenance software to track maintenance on assets while assisting the team with its usage. Effective communication with management, front desk staff, the engineering manager, and the Director of Engineering regarding issues and project status is essential.

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal

Pay Rate: $26 - $32/hour depending on experience

Schedule: Up to approximately 30 hours per week, including weekends

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering principles relevant to facilities maintenance and the ability to assess building systems and structures to identify and address potential issues. They should be self-driven, able to work independently to find and implement solutions, and either already certified as a Pool Operator or willing to obtain certification. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field; a certificate from a college or trade school in engineering or facilities maintenance, along with three to six months of relevant experience or training; or licensure as a plumber or HVAC repair technician. Strong troubleshooting skills using available materials and independent research are also essential.
