Mid-Level Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Mid-Level Maintenance Engineer with education and experience to join the Engineering Team at one of our premier properties: The St. James Place in Beaver Creek. The person in this role will be able to repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot systems, machines, tools, and equipment for the purpose of providing well-maintained building, grounds, irrigation, and utility systems of the property in order to ensure a satisfactory guest experience as well as keep the Association buildings in good condition. Duties Include:
- Inspect and evaluate systems, machines, tools, and equipment (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to ensure proper functioning or identify potential issues.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including pool/hot tub care and installations for special projects, and address necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot system or equipment failures using available materials and research to determine and execute effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Recommend updates or changes to systems and equipment to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, or guest experience.
- Support the team in implementing and using preventive maintenance software to track asset maintenance, and communicate with management and staff regarding project updates and issues.
Location: St. James Place in Beaver Creek, CO
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Pay Rate: $27 - $30/hour DOE
Schedule: Three day shifts and two PM shifts (1:30pm - 10:00pm)

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Engineering Expertise: A strong understanding of engineering principles applicable to facilities maintenance.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to assess building systems and structures, identify current or potential issues, and provide effective recommendations.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive approach to recognizing problems and implementing solutions independently.
- Qualifications:
- Any one of the following:
(i) Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
(ii) A certificate from a college or trade school in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a similar field, along with 3-6 months of related experience and/or training.
(iii) A licensed or apprentice plumber or HVAC repair technician.
- Any one of the following:
- Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to resolve issues using readily available materials and independent research.
