We are looking for someone with superb marketing and administration skills and a high level of attention to detail to join our team at The Collective Snowmass and Snowmass Conference & Events Center (SCEC) in Base Village. This position reports directly to the Director of Plaza Venues & Events and is split between marketing, sales, and high-level administration assistance for Base Village venues. Key Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Manage weekly event newsletters, press releases, and follow-ups for The Collective and Conference Center.
  • Collaborate with local media to pitch story ideas and conduct individual media outreach for print, online, television, radio, and other media.
  • Design and organize social media posts for standard events at The Collective, Conference Center, and Plaza.
  • Create and maintain a photo library, sharing photos with media and local organizations via Dropbox. Update seasonal media folders for partners.
  • Gather all pertinent information relevant to marketing events, including images, descriptions, and details.
  • Coordinate with strategic partners (Mawita, Town of Snowmass, ASC, Theatre Projects, Viceroy, Limelight, local businesses, non-profits, etc.) to share information.
  • Manage and maintain the backend of The Collective and Conference Center websites, including updates, seasonal images, and event calendars (using WordPress).
  • Coordinate and schedule weekly advertising for events such as comedy shows, movies, special events, yoga, storytelling, and drag bingo.
  • Design ad campaigns and graphics for marketing materials, including advertisements, flyers, posters, and social media content.
  • Maintain and grow the email database, including local media, general, comedy, and concierge lists.

Operations:

  • Manage the sales and contracting process for private events, including drafting contracts, creating invoices, and managing payment calendars.
  • Conduct venue tours for clients and groups at The Collective, Conference Center, and Plaza.
  • Assist with venue rental inquiries.
  • Manage booking accommodations for all talent, including hotels, flights, and other requests.
  • Coordinate private event details with clients, in collaboration with the Director of Plaza Venues & Events.
  • Manage event RSVPs, attendance, hosting, and the implementation of event and venue safety guidelines.
  • Handle administrative tasks, business processes, and projects.
  • Process weekly vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Manage off-season projects as assigned.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty for event activations at The Collective and Conference Center.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Location: The Collective, Conference Center, and Plaza
Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Start Date: October 2024
Pay Rate: $70,000 DOE
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including nights, holidays, and weekends

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience in website management, marketing, and graphic design.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others, be self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must enjoy interacting with people.
  • Ability to handle physically active and fast-paced job activities; must be able to lift and carry up to approximately 40 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule availability.
