Manages and coordinates operation of The Edwards Station Operating entity.  Facilitates excellence in customer sales and service within the convenience store, fueling operation and car wash. Performs many operationally-oriented Human Resource functions. Additional components include: planning, promotion, pricing, product positioning. The Operations Manager regularly addresses complaints and resolves problems

Start Date: 12/1/2020

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $55,000 - $62,000 / year + bonus potential


-Creates an environment of safety, service and convenience for customers; leads by example.

-Develops programs to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat visits.

-Plans, develops and implements organizational policies and goals.

-Coordinates activities of functional areas such as Supervisors, Sales Associates and Car Wash.

-Directs the promotion of the Edwards Station to develop loyalty, increase market share, and obtain a competitive position in the industry.

-Collaborates on and adheres to budgets for both the Association and the Operating entity.

-Allocates revenues and expenditures to their appropriate accounts.

-Creates directives to employees outlining policy, program, and operation changes to be implemented.

-Prepares and administers regular meetings.

-Orders, receives and inventories all products and supplies needed to run operation.

-Responsible for the overall maintenance of retail property, as well as maintenance and repair of car wash facility.

-Recruits, interviews, selects, trains, counsels, evaluates and terminates employees.

-Completes daily reconciliations and or cash counts/deposits

-Works efficiently with shared services in accounting, HR and payroll capacities. 

-Regularly deals with vendors and service contractors.

-Is proficient and current on various compliance issues such as alcohol and tobacco sales and taxation, health codes and fuels system operations and state reporting.  


Manages up to 5 subordinate supervisors with a total of 12-16 employees.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four years of college or trade school and/or suitable industry experience managing operations.
  • Professional appearance and presentation. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.  
  • Professional approach in all guest relations.  
  • Able to express thoughts in clear and concise professional manner.  
  • Ability to be organized and know how to prioritize. 
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, juggle many things at once.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and days.
