Prep Cook - The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa

Join our team at the renowned Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, managed by East West Hospitality! We are seeking Prep Cooks to bring their multitasking abilities, time management skills, and basic knife proficiency to our fast-paced kitchen. If you're eager to work with diverse cuisines and techniques, we would love to meet you!

Duties:

Prep Cooks support and assist the Lead Line Cooks and Sous Chefs in accomplishing daily tasks. This includes setting up and stocking line stations with necessary supplies, preparing food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces, and cooking assigned menu items during service while complying with the Sous Chef's instructions and recommendations. They maintain high standards of food quality, preparation, service, and presentation, keep line stations clean and organized, and comply with mandatory food safety standards and regulations.

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round & Seasonal

Schedule: 6am-2pm; 8am-4pm

Pay Rate: $21 / hour

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, as work visa sponsorship is not available. Preference will be given to those with basic knife skills and previous kitchen experience. Proficiency in reading and writing English is required for effective communication in our culinary environment.
