Senior Financial Accountant
Job Description
East West Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Financial Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations for multiple associations under our management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a passion for financial analysis, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Duties Include:
- Produce monthly financial reports for managers and board members.
- Assistance in insurance renewal.
- Reserve Studies and management of Reserve Investments.
- Billing Association homeowners quarterly.
- Balance Sheet reconciliation.
- Bank Reconciliation/Operating and Reserve Cash management.
- Answering any owner questions relating to associations.
- Presenting financials/budgets/reserves/insurance at BOD meetings and Annual meetings.
- Answering any manager or Board of Director member questions in relation to financials and assist management budget preparation.
- Investment preparation and communication with boards and the bank.
- Preparing books for yearly audits, review audits and tax returns for accuracy and ensuring any Adjusting Journal Entries are necessary.
- Working with auditors to ensure correct audits, tax returns and payments within the time constraints by the State of California.
- Processing and filing 1099’s for both owners and 3rd party contractors.
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round
Pay Rate: $75k-$85k DOE
- College degree or equivalent and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HOA Experience preferred.
- Accounting degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with computerized accounting operations.
- Requires knowledge of computer systems including Vantaca, Solomon, Track Hospitality Software, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Will train in the proprietary software.
- Ability to train and cross train with other staff members. Serves as an example of leadership in the department.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent accounting and organizational skills.
- May occasionally be required to travel.
