Sommelier

Calling all wine aficionados! Stoke & Rye, located in the stunning Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, has an immediate opportunity for a Sommelier.  As our Sommelier, you'll be the maestro of the wine list, tailoring every recommendation to delight our guests' palates. With your deep knowledge of varietals and vintages, you’ll determine their preferences, pair the perfect wine with their chosen dish, and respect their price range while uncovering the ideal bottle. What You’ll Do: The Sommelier’s responsibilities include polishing wine glassware, opening all bottles of wine, stocking the wine cellar, and ensuring it remains clean and organized. Additional duties involve monitoring wine inventory, informing the manager of par levels, and assisting in curating and updating the wine list.

Employment Type: Part Time, Year Round.

Pay Rate: $18/hour plus 15% tip out on wine bottle sales and 10% commission on wine bottle sales (paid monthly)

Schedule: Thursday - Saturday, 4PM to Close

The ideal candidate will possess strong active listening and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests, understand their food preferences, and recommend the perfect wine pairing. A Level 2++ Sommelier certification is required, along with a deep knowledge of wine and the ability to match wines seamlessly with our food menu to create an exceptional dining experience.
