Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Operations
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, suppliers and equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of wines from around the world including New and Old World
- Responsible for advising on specific wines and maximizing wine sales in the restaurant
- Responsibility for stock control and ordering, wine cellar management
- Ability to up sell wine and to train and develop colleagues to do the same
- Ability to run wine tasting sessions for colleagues and guests
- Thorough knowledge of the menu at the Specialty Restaurant
- Ability to recommend wines according to the menu should guests ask
- Ability to serve wine
- Ability to disseminate wine knowledge to colleagues and instill passion in wine and willingness to learn more about it
- Oversees the proper and safe use of all equipment
- Oversees the compliance of Anguilla liquor laws and all health regulations
- Keeps direct reports focused on guest satisfaction and desired financial results.
- Ensures service occurs according to operating and quality standards.
- Actively involved in the operation through daily interaction with both colleagues and guests
- Ensures compliance with all Food and Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
- Ensures compliance of company sanitation standards.
- Follows goals and objectives for all areas of responsibility and communicates effectively same to all colleagues.
- Directs colleagues to strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
- Maintains an effective training and inspection program of all Beverage areas to ensure compliance of Health and Safety procedures and local laws.
- Follows Bar cleaning schedule and manages execution of work.
- Understands and communicates to colleagues the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment.
- Coordinates and supervises the ordering of Beverage equipment and supplies, seeking approval from the Director of Food & Beverage for purchasing
- Effectively evaluates and implements new service standards, supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues.
- Works closely with Director of Food & Beverage to develop, generate and increase annual sales.
- Effectively interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
- Each colleague is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the colleague is capable of performing.

Schedule:Flexible schedule, some nights, weekends and holidays required
Pay Rate: $21.00
