Yoga Ambassador

Teaches various styles of yoga in a group or private setting at Mountainside Treehouse and Mountainside Yoga Studio.

Job Duties: 

Provides beginning through advanced yoga instruction (private and group) as scheduled.

Introduces members new to yoga to safe practices and provides support in their journey of wellbeing.

Provides feedback, adjustments, and training recommendations

Increases member engagement and satisfaction related to yoga instruction offerings to the Mountainside community.

Assists in the promotion of and conducting of classes, clinics, special events, and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ wellness and health trends.

Interacts with members during apré yoga sessions

Enforces Mountainside rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, its equipment and other property.

Ensures members’ proper usage of accessories

Ensures proper inspection of the facilities prior to the start of activity and ascertains that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the equipment is in safe working order.  Reports any maintenance problems to the Treehouse Outfitters.

Follows closing procedures of the facilities after completion of sessions. 

Monitors facility usage and assists in maintaining general appearance and function.

Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Attends staff meetings.

Because of the fluctuating demands of operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you.  Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above                                    

Reports to:  Lead Outfitter

Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Education/Experience:   Minimum 2 years teaching experience in related environment

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:  200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate of completion from an accredited institution desired. Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification is required at all times.

Safety Training: Harassment Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens and other trainings as determined.
